Ronald McDonald House South Island is situated on the corner of Cashel and Montreal Streets in Christchurch City - just one block from the Parkside entrance to Christchurch Public Hospital.
There a number of secure car parks for families with cars.
The daily operations of the House are managed by the CEO, Nickie Barlow, who is available during normal office hours. After hours support and assistance is given by the live-in After Hours Supervisors who are on-site every evening and over the weekends.
Office hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm & Saturday and Sunday 9.00 - 5.30pm and all administration staff are available to offer support and assistance to families as required.
Volunteers are an invaluable part of Ronald McDonald House South Island. They assist immensely in the daily operation of the House and are always happy to help families when needed. The volunteers have all undertaken an orientation and induction programme to ensure their suitability. This includes aspects relating to the Privacy Act and Occupational Safety and Health. All volunteers undergo a Police Check prior to commencing work in the House.
