Ronald McDonald House South Island is situated on the corner of Cashel and Montreal Streets in Christchurch City - just one block from the Parkside entrance to Christchurch Public Hospital.
The daily operations of the House are managed by our Front of House team, who are available during normal office hours.
After hours support and assistance is given by the After Hours Supervisors and a team of volunteers, ensuring someone is on-site every evening.
Office hours are Monday to Sunday 8.30am - 5.00pm. All administration staff are available to offer support and assistance to families as required.
Volunteers are an invaluable part of Ronald McDonald House South Island. They assist immensely in the daily operation of the House and are always happy to help families when needed. The volunteers have all undertaken an orientation and induction programme to ensure their suitability. This includes aspects relating to the Privacy Act and Occupational Safety and Health. All volunteers undergo a Police Check prior to commencing work in the House.
